Unlike other tuition agencies, we do not charge a registration or membership fee and your initial consultation is free of charge. You will only ever pay for tuition.
The free consultation we offer is critical to us understanding exactly what you need, and also critical for you to understand what you can gain from tuition. The consultation will give us a good idea of the type of tutor that will work best for you and how regularly you should schedule lessons. Most consultations can be carried out over the phone but we are also happy to schedule a face-to-face meeting if your needs are of a more complex nature.
We do our best to match you with a tutor who can start lessons on your preferred start date.
Our tutors are based all over London and can travel to postcodes in the Greater London region. Online lessons or residential placements are options If you live outside of the Greater London region and require a tutor.
Most of our tutors will come to your home. However, if you prefer to meet outside of your home, you can arrange this with the tutor.
We select tutors based on their aptitude for tutoring, based on their track records as educators and their knowledge and passion for the subjects they teach. We look for impressive academic and teaching CVs and a long-term commitment to the tutoring profession. All our tutors must hold a Bachelor’s degree at 2:1 or above and many of our tutors have been awarded Masters and PhDs from top UK universities, in addition to their success as private tutors.
Our tutors are either qualified teachers working in schools and colleges in London, former or current university lecturers or tutors, or private tutors who have experience of tutoring a particular subject. All our tutors are graduates with in-depth knowledge of the subjects they teach.
We conduct a thorough vetting process of all our tutors. We verify original copies of the following: their up-to-date Enhanced DBS certificate (no older than three years since date of issue), two forms of ID including address, and their degree certificates, transcripts, and teaching qualifications (where applicable). We also request testimonials from past tutoring jobs and teaching and personal references. The final stage in the vetting process is an interview where our Tutor Recruitment Manager diligently ascertains an applicant’s tutoring skills and personal qualities. A tutor will only be registered on our books once they have passed all stages of the vetting process.
Yes. All of our tutors have the highest level Enhanced DBS certificate issued within the last three years. A tutor will not be registered to work with us without an Enhanced DBS certificate.
Yes. As a part of the application process we request two references from each tutor. At least one of these must be a teaching reference.
It is very easy to contact us. You can complete the enquiry form on our website or call us on 020 7078 7202.
In most cases, we will provide you with a shortlist of available tutors who have experience of teaching your subject and level. There will usually be a standout candidate (based on their tutoring track record) who we will make known to you. You will be able to read through a tutor’s profile and CV before hiring them.
On the very rare occasion that this happens, we will refund your first lesson. We will work to ascertain why you were unhappy and then proceed to find you a replacement tutor. We are always committed to finding you a tutor that you are happy with.

Certainly. Our tutors are expected to report progress to any parents or guardians on a regular basis. Our tutors can log reports after every lesson, outlining what they covered in the lesson, the progress made and any homework set. These reports are uploaded automatically on your Tuition360 TutorCruncher account, so you will always have an electronic record of them.
